Filling:

  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup salted peanuts, chopped

Nougat Layer:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 1 1/2 cups marshmallow fluff
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions:

    • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Let the cakes cool completely in the pans on a wire rack.
  2. Prepare the Nougat Layer:
    • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Add the granulated sugar and evaporated milk, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.

    • Place the second cake layer on top. Spread the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with the remaining peanuts.
  4. Make the Chocolate Topping:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
    • Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
