Snickers Cake 2021

Ingredients:
Cake:
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix (or your favorite homemade chocolate cake recipe)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
Filling:
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup salted peanuts, chopped
Nougat Layer:
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cups marshmallow fluff
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
- Bake the Cake:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely in the pans on a wire rack.
- Prepare the Nougat Layer:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the granulated sugar and evaporated milk, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Boil for 4-5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Stir in the marshmallow fluff, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Assemble the Cake:
- Place one layer of the cake on a serving platter. Spread half of the caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with half of the chopped peanuts.
- Spread the nougat mixture evenly over the peanuts.
- Place the second cake layer on top. Spread the remaining caramel sauce and sprinkle with the remaining peanuts.
- Make the Chocolate Topping:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
- Chill and Serve:
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour to set the layers.
